We’re kept being told that Ukrainians want to fight, but the reality is that the Ukrainian regime is forcing people to fight against their will. This is what the west is supporting in Ukraine.

Good for those who are non-volunteers and have managed to evade/survive it. Forced conscription is slavery and should be outrageous in societies that supposedly respect human rights.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

The Ukrainian military couldn’t take everyone owing to a lack of resources and equipment, but managed to muster new units, expand established ones and improvise to halt Russian armor bearing down on Kyiv.

Since the Russian invasion two years ago around 9,000 draft-evasion proceedings have been opened, according to the Ukrainian interior ministry, but that’s just scratching the surface of the draft-dodging and the evasion of registration so enlistment notices can’t be issued.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has acknowledged that the issue is “sensitive. Even in the weeks leading up to Russia’s February 2022 invasion, he resisted calls from opposition lawmakers in Kyiv to announce a general call-up.

It has stalled in the parliament, however, with lawmakers objecting to some punitive measures they regard as unconstitutional, such as restricting the property rights of draft-dodgers, impounding their cars and blocking their bank accounts.

“You have officers going on television saying if we don’t get more money and ammunition from the United States and Europe everyone at the front is going to get killed in a matter of weeks because the Russians produce many drones and have more shells, Kniazhytskyi fumed.

Their relatives want the same thing: On Sunday, dozens of families of frontline soldiers crowded into Kyiv’s Maidan Square to demand their husbands, fathers and boyfriends be relieved from combat, arguing they’ve done their bit and now must be demobilized or given considerable rest and relaxation.

The term “Slava Ukraini” originated from a far right theorist back in the 1910s and was frequently used by far right nationalist groups and Nazi organizations. In particular, “The greeting “Glory to Ukraine!(Slava Ukraini) Glory to the heroes! became an official slogan of Stepan Bandera’s Nazi-allied OUN-B in April 1941. During World War II, Ukrainian nationalists often used it in addition to a roman salute.

The comment above is promoting fascism.

What is the context of the phrase now? Context is everything and you can’t just point at the history books and twist the meaning of what someone said.

Languages change and morph over time. They always have.

The context is that this phrase is commonly used by neonazis and the far right in Ukraine today. Stop trying to whitewash fascists, it’s not a good look.

Every country has a far right nationalistic group. That by no means is justification for invading a sovereign national and slaughtering its people.

OP has a long history of repeating many of the Russian talking points about how Nazis are in Ukraine. Even if he doesn’t explicitly say that the invasion was justified, everything he posts is supporting it. (It depends if he is on a pro-Russian kick or a pro-China kick. He flip-flops a bit, but the methods are the same: Bait others, then get into pointless arguments ad-nauseam until the conversation devolves into name calling.)

He even has pages of references available at all times. It doesn’t matter what those references are as it’s a pain in the ass to dig into all that shit, and it’s a distraction more than anything else.
