Why is this story suddenly getting posted to dozens of communities that in seeing in my feed?
It’s one 73 year old tribal elder who complained that today’s youth don’t respect tradition. This same story has been pre-printed for thousands of years.
I mean, I don’t like the guy, but how is he the one responsible? What about the ones that put a smartphone in the tribesmen’s hands?

This article didn’t elaborate much further than what was in the headline. I feel duped.
This headline a few centuries ago: How trade with the New World tragically turned its noble indigenous peoples into alcoholics.
Was anyone else expecting an article talking about the subject? I was reading and then, “Oh they’ve set up an interesting topic to discuss… wait, other articles to read, where is this article?”
Also, the internet access mechanism (starlink) is incidental to the subject matter, why mention it in the title?
