I hired someone to do the yard work, my older kid is home from college, and my younger one is here instead of his Mom’s! The weekend is already outstanding.

Just made a seafood feast, with fried rice, seared shrimp, and tuna steaks!

Tomorrow: Turkish eggs for breakfast, Pokémon hunt until the kids and dog are wiped out, and I’m hoping they’ll be up for takeout from the Pakistani place. Then video games all night!

    Sunday: chocolate chip pancakes

It really has been a fantastic kitchen tool and I use it far more frequently than I expected. https://steelmadeusa.com/

Anyone cooking for a family . My goal was pancakes, but I cook a full batch at once. For breakfast, even for as little as two people, do your bacon, eggs, and hash browns at the same time and you appreciate the space it gives. I don’t even know how to make fried rice without a mess, but there you go: that started as two cups dried rice, onions, carrots, peppers, and 4 eggs (should have had more eggs but needed to make sure there were enough left for breakfast). I was also thinking burgers when I got it, and I’ve done that a bunch, but I think it’s helped most with breakfast. Before this griddle, pancakes for the family meant I continued to make them while everyone else ate or I had to have them sitting around waiting. Now we can all eat at the same time, with pancakes freshly cooked
