      Because the dumb system of rescheduling just works this way.

      The DEA shouldn’t even be in the bureaucratic pathway. They’re cops, and they shouldn’t have a say in what counts as medicine. The FDA is far from perfect, but they are the scientists.

        I think the DEA is the only entity at the Federal level that cares about marijuana. Drug warriors are gonna drug war.

          The DEA’s administrative law judge already said it shouldn’t be Schedule I, after a lengthy review, and (surprise!) the DEA administrator ignored them. What a genius system; leave it up to the person wielding power to be the one making the final decision to wield less power 🤦
