It’s the first advertising I’ve seen on Lemmy, and for my eyeballs it’s not a welcome intrusion.

Jeez, I hope Lemmy and the fediverse will be powered by enthusiasm and donations, not by advertising.

I just hope it’s the same banner in 5 years. The longer it stays the funnier it is.
