My first inkjet was an HP bubblejet, about 1994. My last was some garbage about 2000. Since then I’ve refused to own one.
My 1997 laserjet (that I bought used in 2008) just died. I bougt a color laser on Craigslist for $50. And my current BW laser is a 2014HP, that just got it’s second cartridge.
Also, don’t buy inkjet.

They actually make their money by having the printer be more expensive but it saves you in the long-run
