minus-squareyonderarrow-up9arrow-down0·9 days agolinkfedilinkPretty good if you stick to linux. Better than NVidia since that’s what I had before.
minus-squareSturgiesYrFasearrow-up1arrow-down0·8 days agolinkfedilinkYeah, I’m having a lot of trouble with my Nvidia card right now in Garuda Arch. It’s a 1060, so about time to update anyway.

Amd has better gfx performance, but they’re actually close in a lot of areas, if you don’t need graphics and want compute probably better. Id say it doesn’t compete with Nvidia at all because if you’re thinking green your concerns are so different nothing will sell you. But holy shit the av1 encode is like nothing else on the planet. Multiple streams at 12x and it just barely ticks over.
minus-squareHumanPersonEnglisharrow-up3arrow-down0·9 days agolinkfedilinkalso have an arc and I found it better than even amd considering it had easy opencl support.
minus-squareLeFantomearrow-up1arrow-down0·8 days agolinkfedilinkNone of the departures seem related to ARC
Uh oh, I have an Intel ARC.
