War is always just the prelude to diplomacy. Gotta wonder how many more people will die before talking starts.

Ask Russia when they’re willing to surrender and stop their invasion, and we’ll find out.

The war would have been over almost as soon as it started had talks not been sabotaged by parties with no real skin in the game hoping to use the war to weaken Russia, which doesn’t seem to have done much on that front other than inspired a war economy shift, which now has led Russia to out produce all of Europe combined, and led to the deaths of thousands and thousands of people.

          simply not invaded Ukraine

The US could also simply not have backed the 2014 fascist coup in Ukraine to sideline the Minsk agreements against the interests and wishes of Eastern Ukrainians

          https://iili.io/JX9sm8l.png

and the subsequent killings of ethnic Russians in Eastern Ukraine, like Donbas, DPR, and LPR, by the coup gov for resisting which gave Russia the casus belli to invade.

The only way this was always going to end — the only way the vast majority of conflicts that don’t result in one side completely destroying the other end — is by negotiations which the US and UK have been blocking.

          Vladimirs fault

Always trying to scapegoat just one guy lmao. Instead of acknowledging the current capitalist system in Russia and the resulting material conditions that brought him to power in the first place, and created the situation for war.

Dude, you don’t even know that DPR and LPR are in Donbas. Stop regurgitating points you don’t understand.

So much this. ETA This has more truth than most people in the world, especially the USA, can handle.

I’m not sure that’s much of a consolation to the dead and their living family.

Dear tankie, the guy behind Wagner (Utkin) literally had Nazi tattoos and shit and he was involved in attacking Ukraine alongside Russia. Please don’t pretend that you give two shits about fascism and the world when the only thing you care about is US bad”.

The best outcome would be for Russia to withdraw. Something Russia can do tomorrow.

I don’t think that would in fact be the best. A negotiated settlement will likely include funding for rebuilding damaged infrastructure, among other things. A unilateral withdraw would not.
