That’s fine. Poker is just a theme. And it’s got a guide for poker hands, but after a couple trips to the item shop you can usually throw everything about poker out the window.
On The STS discord Caseyyano admitted that Balatro is changing him. So we’ll see If there are any references to Balatro. I’m pretty sure there will be at least one Joker artifact considering how many references there were in STS1.

If you have the hands to hand (pun intended) then it’s all good. You don’t need to play it as you would normally.
