      They been that way since probably vietnam, but the MIC exists to transfer public funds to private executives, not to build effective armed forces.

            You mean like a false target? Pretty sure ICBMs at least have those already, specifically to ensure payload is not intercepted

    Seriously, just a quiet quad copter with a fairly sensitive microphone can hear these things from miles away.

    Turbine engines in tracked vehicles have a very distinctive sound.
