    For the record, adamantine also means unbreakable. It’s a positive connotation of strength.

    (It comes from Greek mythology, “adamant” is a mythical material in Greek mythology; a certain hero was given a certain sword by a certain god to kill things. It’s similar to Mithril or other “magical” materials or diamondoid in sci-fi. Incidentally, our word “diamond” comes from adamant)
