I’ve got a 3800x(in an x570 board) and I’m considering a 5950x upgrade to retire that box to home-server duty, and do a new gaming rig.5950x averages about $350USD from what I’ve seen for about a year now
I upgraded from a 3700x to a 5800x3d and the performance boost was pretty noticeable with the GTX1080 I had at the time. The difference is mostly in the 1% and 0.1% lows, but that’s what bothers me the most.
I’m wondering the same thing for my Ryzen 7 3700X as I’ve seen a lot of press recently for these chips…
