Great story, but the writing was exceedingly dull, apart from the first chapter. I even tried getting through it via audiobook and still only made it halfway through. It’s just a chore.

I’m actually really interested, from a societal perspective, to see what widespread availability of sexbots does to marriage and population statistics.

The best recent one was a Faraday bag for my phone.

I use it as a step counter but didn’t want to be checking it often nor tracked all the time, and the faraday bag blocks signals from the outside and minimizes my phone as a nuisance AND helps curb the urge to check it all the time while still counting my steps.

Overall, though, I’d say a USB powerbank. I’ve had it for three years and only used it a handful of times, but when I’m in an airport or road tripping, it’s nice to have an easy way to recharge my devices.

Oddly enough, the reason why I did the repair myself was that the shop quoted me $400, haha. It’s nice to live in a world where you can fix your own stuff, something that Apple also does their best to prevent.

Apple builds obsolescence into their products on purpose.

If you’d bought a PC, a faulty screen would be easily replaceable. I had to replace my laptop screen myself several years ago, and with a $60 part and ten minutes on youtube, it was an easy repair.

Realistically, with the robot having been around now almost six months, I’m more willing to consider that the locals have noticed a difference in their experience going shopping. That’s more than enough time to notice the kind of changes the locals appear to have experienced since they stopped relying on the police.
